After getting stretched off the field, most of the people were expecting this news of Hardik Pandya getting ruled out of the remainder of the ongoing Asia Cup 2018. Seam bowler Deepak Chahar will now replace the injured Pandya. Hardik is maybe suffering from a severe back pain and that’s why he will take some rest for the next couple of weeks at least.
Today, Chahal will reach Dubai international cricket stadium to join the Indian squad. Pandya bowled only 4.5 overs before hurting his spine in the process. He must be feeling gutted because after all, it was a great opportunity for him to showcase his talent against their arch-rivals Pakistan.
Pandya was looking comfortable and he even looked like settling into his rhythm when he bowled his first four overs. But suddenly when he was bowling fifth delivery of his fifth over, he felt a huge pain in his back and he collapsed on the ground after his follow through. This incident happened in the 18th over of the Pakistani innings. Ground staff then put him on a stretcher and took him in the dressing room.
Hardik was straightaway taken to the medical centre near the stadium where he started to take further precautions. It was one hell of a scary moment for the Indian cricket team staff as well as the fans watching all around Asia because he is one of the fittest cricketers around in the world.
