Police recovered a decomposed body of an unidentified man on Friday from a water body in Rupia bridge area of Balaganj upazalia in Sylhet district.
Officer-in-charge of Balaganj Police Station Md SM Jalal Uddin said locals located the body floating on the water in the afternoon and informed police.
Police later recovered the body and sent it to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination, he said.
