Decomposed body of a house wife was recovered from a septic tank at Upashaharpara in Jhenidah town on Friday morning. The police recovered the body from the septic tank of some Khairul Master, a neighbor of the deceased.
The deceased was identified as Anwara Begum, 45, wife of Abdur Rahim of the area. Police detained another neighbor Parula Khatun for her suspected involvement in the killing incident, the police said.
Jhenidah Sadar police station officer in charge Harendranath Sarker said, the locals found the decomposed body and informed the police in the morning of Friday. Later the law enforcers recovered body in a septic rank owned by Khairul Islam.
Anwara Begum was missing since the morning of Tuesday when she left the house. The body was sent to Jhenidah Sadar hospital morgue for post mortem examination. Earlier a general diary was filed with the Jhenidah Sadar police station on Wednesday by the family following the missing of Anwara Khatun.
