Police have recovered the decapitated body of a man named Jamal Mia alias Jamu Mia (55) from East Sirajnagar area of Srimangal in Moulvibazar. A bush pass in the East Sirajnagar area of the Srimangal-Moulvibazar regional road on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Jamal Mia, son of Barik Mia of East Sirajnagar in the same area. And the deceased was living in the house of Awami League leader Upru Mia.
Locals and family members said Jamal Mia was picked up by someone on his mobile phone in the early hours of the morning and a few hours later, about halfway from his home. His decapitated body was recovered from the spot mentioned kilometers away.
Locals also informed that Jamal was involved in drug dealing in the area.
Srimangal Police Station OC (Investigation) Humayun Kabir said that after receiving the information, the police sent the body to the morgue of the 250-bed General Hospital in Moulvibazar for autopsy. Police are working to unravel the real mystery.
