Debates as a vital part of widening the knowledge, should be spread among all the students to establish the truth by uprooting injustice, oppression and misdeed, said Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury here in a concluding ceremony of 7th thematic debate and championship held on Thursday by Chittagong University School of Debate (CUDS). He as the Chief Guest also said, to be succeed in the field of debate, a competitor must search for a new knowledge and must read a lot of books to establish his argument, which helps him to be knowledged.
Meanwhile, Pro-Vice Chancellor prof Dr Shirin Akther as the special guest, said debates helps a debater to prove himself after the completion of his education in his working place, side by side being a courageous.
With the chair of Prof Dr Mohammad Tayub Chowdhury, moderator of the debating, the program was addressed by Communication and Journalism Department Chairman Khandakar Ali R Raji, Sociology Department lecturer Asma Akther Bithi, CUDS former president Rubyiaa Taslim Bristy, CUDS current President among others were present.
