‘Students Thoughts & Debate on National Budget 2018-19’ organized by the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) and IQAC, Eastern University (EU) was held on Tuesday at the Seminar Hall of the Eastern University.
Dr Saadat Husain, Ex-Chairman, PSC and Ex-Cabinet Secretary was present as chief guest of the discussion. Engr Kh. Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Chairman, Board of Trustees, EU was present as the guest of honor. Mohiuddin Ahmed, Distinguished Journalist and Columnist and Prof Dr Md. Abdul Jalil, Ex-Director, BPATC and NAEM were present as the special guests.
Chief guest on his speech said, “Development, Living standard and Life style are the most important things need to consider before announcing of Budget.
The seminar was chaired by the Vice Chancellor of Eastern University, Prof Dr Engr. Aminul Hoque, Vice Chancellor, EU while Muhammed Siddique Hossain, Treasurer, EU; Prof Dr Raisul Awal Mahmood, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration present as a guest.
More than 200 students, teachers and officials attended the program. In the opening address, Dr Md. Ashraf Hossain, Professor of Faculty of Business Administration and the Convener of the program said that EU is the first private university of the country that arranged open discussion for the fifth consecutive year on “Students’ Thoughts on National Budget”.
The vote of thanks given by Prof Dr Abbas Ali Khan, Chairperson, Dept. of Business Administration, EU.
