Death toll in the road accident at Chittagong’s Satkania has risen to six, police said .
The collision took place at Pathani Pool area on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar Highway on Saturday evening.
Five of the victims died on the spot when a Chittagong-bound ‘S Alam Paribahan’ bus collided head-on with an autorickshaw.Dohazari police outpost’s Inspector AKM Kawsar Chowdhury said the victims were auto rickshaw passengersThe sixth victim succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.Their identities could not be confirmed as yet.
Police said they have seized the bus but the driver and assistant quickly escaped from the spot.
