Several hundred people who reside surrounding Chattogram University formed a human chain on the campus on Sunday demanding arrest of those who gave a “death threat” to Vice Chancellor Prof Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury on August 16.
They also demanded strict security measures for the VC.
On August 28, Prof Iftekhar disclosed information about the death threat — allegedly from extremists — after the university had reopened following Eid vacation.
