A Dhaka court has sent Farzana Zaman Neha to jail in a case filed over the rape and murder of an ULAB student.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Satyabrato Shikder passed the order on Thursday after hearing on the case.
Confirming the matter, ASI Farruque Hossain said the investigation officer of the case produced Neha, who is on five-day remand, and filed a petition to sent her in jail.
Neha was arrested from a house in city’s Azimpur area on February 4. The same court on February 5 placed her on a five-day remand in the case.
Mohammadpur Police Station source said Neha was also sick after consuming alcohol with her friends on January 28 in Uttara’s Bamboo Shoot Restaurant.
