A condolence meeting was held at the Journalist Housing Society Office on Tuesday at Kalshi in Mirpur on the life of late Ahsan Hamid, a resident of the society hailed from Madaripur, who died on March 9 early morning in a local hospital due to cardiac arrest and lung problem. He was 68.
Most of the journalists of the society attended the condolence meeting. His family members and his son and daughter were also present.
Among others, President of the society Nurul Huda recalled the contribution of the senior journo who was the District Editor of Naya Diganta and worked at Sangbad for long in different capabilities. He was laid to rest at Kalshi graveyard.
All prayed for the salvation of the departed soul of journalist and poet Ahsan Hamid.
