Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Farzana Islam on Sunday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of valiant freedom fighter Bir Protik Taramon Bibi.
In a condolence message, the VC said, Bir Protik Taramon Bibi was the pride of Bangladeshi women. People of the country will remember her outstanding contribution in the country’s Liberation War.
In separate condolence messages, Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor and Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister AKM Shajahan Kamal recalled the outstanding contribution of Taramon Bibi to the country’s Liberation War in 1971.
