Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Fatema Zohura Begum, mother of former mayor of Chattogram City Corporation and Chattogram City Awami League General Secretary AJM Nasir Uddin.
In a condolence message on Monday, Quader also General Secretary of the ruling Awami League prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Fatema Zahura Begum died at a hospital in Chattogram at 9.30 am on Monday at the age of 90.
She is survived by three daughters, six sons and a host of relatives and admirers.
