Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Sayeda Sultana Shirin, sister of AL central working committee member Abdul Awal Shamim.
In a condolence message on Wednesday, Quader prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Shirin passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital on Wednesday morning aged 60.
She left behind a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death.
