State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Murad Hasan on Monday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of editor and publisher of Dainik Janakantha Mohammad Atiqullah Khan Masud.
“Veteran journalist Atiqullah Khan Masud had played important role in forging non communal Bangladesh and spreading liberation war spirit among the new generation,” said the state minister in a condolence message.
His death will create deep void in the area of non-communal and free thinking which would not be fulfilled easily, he added.
The state minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
