The 23rd death anniversary of prominent Awami League leader Advocate Shamsuddin Molla was observed in Faridpur on Thursday in a befitting manner. On the occasion Milad Mahfil and Quran Khawni was held at his East Khabashpur residence.
Late Shamsuddin Molla, a close associate and classmate of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Kolkata Islamia College was long time secretary and president of Faridpur district Awami League before and post liberation period till his death in 1991.
Shamsuddin Molla was elected MNA in 1970, MP in 1973 and was also appointed District Governor of Faridpur in 1975.
