The 40th death anniversary of Matiur Rahman , former Chief Reporter of now defunct Bangladesh Times and Weekly Holiday, will be observed today (Saturday), says a press release.
Khatme Quran and Milad Mahfil will be held at his family residence in Mirpur today (Saturday) after Maghrib prayer.
Relatives, friends and well-wishers have been requested to attend the Milad Mahfil to pray for peace of his departed soul.
Matiur Rahman joined the Pakistan Observer as a reporter in 1962 and worked in Pakistan International Airlines and Bangladesh Biman as Public Relations Manager
He also worked as Special Assistant to Biman’s Managing Director and worked as a Stringer of the New York Times. He was also related with Sandhani Prokashoni till his death.

The 9th death anniversary of Mojibur Rahman, former News Editor of The Daily Good Morning will be observed today (Saturday), says a press release.
He began his career as Sub-Editor of The Bangladesh Observer in 1976 and later worked as Mofussil Editor and Commerce Editor of The Daily Star. He also worked at Proshika as Senior Executive.
