The 48th death anniversary of Shadeed Dr. Harinath Dey will be observed on 27th March 2019. During the Liberation War the Pakistan Army killed Mr. Dey on 27th March in 1971 at Loharpul, Sutrapur.
He was born in 1914 at Dhaka. From 1937 to 1950 he was a lecturer of Dhaka University in the Chemistry Department.
In the year 1942, he completed Ph.D degreee in Nutrition Science from Dhaka University. From the year 1951 to 1957, he was Nutrition officer at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Indore, India. From 1957 Mr. Dey Joined with BCSIR, Dhaka as Principal Scientist.
Feeding of destitute and prayer will be held at his residence at 43, Malakartola Lane Sutrapur, Dhaka.
