Today is the 1st death anniversary of language movement hero, freedom fighter and senior journalist Sadeq Khan.
Sadeq Khan was an active worker of the then communist party. He was a writer, researcher and a filmmaker. He was a well konwn art-critic.
Columnist Sadeq Khan was the contributing editor at Weekly Holiday and Chairman of the Gonoswasthya Kendra Trust.
Khan was a recipient of the state honour Ekushey Padak awarded in 2002.
Sadeq Khan was the director and producer of a pioneer Bengali art-film ‘Nodi O Nari’.
He was also the Chairman of the Press Institute of Bangladesh. All the friends and relatives of the deceased are requested to pray for the salvation of the departed soul.
