Today is the 34th death anniversary of Poet, Philosopher, Multilinguist, Moniruddin Yusuf . National Poet of Iran Ferdousi’s epic ‘Shahnameh’ was translated into Bangla by Moniruddin Yusuf.
He is memorable of this work in Bangla literature history. It took almost 17 years to complete the translation.
The most readable book of poet are 1st Bangla Gazal, ‘Betosh Pata Joler Dhara’, liberation movement basis novel ‘Panasher kanta’. and poet Moniruddin Yusuf wrote in so many sectors of literature, Essay, Drama, Autobiography Jwenilie literature etc.
Greater Mymensing Cultural Forum and so many other socio-cultural organization arrange Doa Mahfil to mark the day after Asr! prayer in Mohammadpur.
On the other hand Boulai Shaheb Bari Jame Masjid arrange a Doa Mahfil after Jum’a prayer.
