The second death anniversary of former Attorney General Mahbubey Alam was observed on Tuesday in a befitting manner.
Officials of Attorney General’s Office offered fateha at his grave at Mirpur Martyred Intellectual Graveyard in the city, while a doa mahfil was organized on behalf of Mahbubey Alam Law Chamber, Deputy Attorney General Samarendra Nath Biswas told media.
Apart from these, family of the former attorney general organized different programs marking the day. A memorial meeting will also be held on October 25 at the Supreme Court, he added.
Mahbubey Alam breathed his last on this day at Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka in 2020 at the age of 72.
