Today is the 30th death anniversary of Justice Syed Mohammad Hossain.
In 1954, he started his legal profession in the then Pakistan High Court as a lawyer. Justice Hossain participated in publicity campaign in the USA in favour of the War of Liberation of Bangladesh in 1971.
He was appointed as a judge to the Supreme Court of Bangladesh in 1974.
Justice Hossain also was President of Bangladesh chapter of International Law Association, Amnesty International and International Commission of Jurist. He was awarded with the Swadhinata Padak.
