The 23rd death anniversary of the reputed journalist and former President of Chittagong Union of Journalists and the bureau chief of erstwhile Dainik Bangla Saiful Alam was observed through arranging a discussion meet at Chittagong Press Club auditorium on December 26 last .
President of Saiful Alam Smriti Sangsad Journalist SM Jamaluddin presided the discussion meet.
Former Malyor of Chittagong Corporation Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury graced it as chief guest. Vice President of Federal Union of Journalist(BFUJ) Shahidul Alam, Chairman of Chittagong Journalists Housing Society and reputed journalist Moinuddin Quaderi Shawkat, and the Secretary General of Central Eid Jamaat Committee Principal Dr. Abdul Karim were present in it as special guests. The speakers in the discussion meet recalled the long dedications of the late Saiful Alam in journalism profession and discharged responsibilities of the CUJ and Chittagong Press Club for long years. The discussion meet prayed for salvation of the departed soul .
