The 11th death anniversary of veteran journalist and former president of Rangpur Press Club, Md. Mozammel Haque will be observed on Sunday (June 19).
He was the father of Md. Sayed Mofidul Haque (Babu), Rangpur Correspondent of The Financial Express. He passed away in 2005 at Rangpur Medical College Hospital at the age of 72.
In his distinguished career of 50 years as a journalist he worked at several newspapers including The Daily Observer and The Daily Star. He also served as a correspondent at Rangpur Radio.
For his outstanding contribution in journalism he received many awards.
To mark the day a Milad Mahfil will be held at local Shahi Mosque after Asar prayer. Later a discussion will also be held at Rangpur Press Club.
