The 43rd death anniversary of Shaheed Lt Col N A M Jahangir will be observed today. Commemorating the occasion, wreaths will be placed on his grave at Comilla Cantonment Board Girls’ School” and a Doa-mehfil has been arranged there.
A Doa-mehfil will also be held on next Friday, April 4, after Jumma prayers in Thana-Mosque’ of Pangsha upazila in Rajbari at his ancestral home.
The Pakistani Army brutally killed him along with fellow officers and soldiers on this day during the liberation war in 1971 while he was the Commanding Officer of the then ’40 Field Ambulance’ Stationed in Comilla Cantonment.
