The 46th death anniversary of Shaheed Jitendra Lal Dutta will be observed today with due solemnity.
During the Liberation War in 1971, he was detained by rajakars from his residence of Agarpur at Barisal and was killed by them.
He was the father of journalist Timir Lal Dutta.
To mark the day, Gita recitation and Kirton (religious song) will be held at the residence of Timir Lal Dutta at 5pm at Rajarbag in the city.
