Death anniv of Faruq Chy today

Today is the first death anniversary of eminent author and renowned diplomat Faruq Choudhury .
He was the first Chief of Protocol in Independent Bangladesh. He served in Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh in London, Ambassador to UAE and to BENELUX countries and to EEC in Brussels.
He was the Chief Coordinator of the meeting of Foreign Ministers of Islamic Countries in 1982 and subsequently became the Foreign Secretary. He was the High Commissioner of Bangladesh in India till he retired in 1992.
Faruq Choudhury was an eminent columnist and a foreign affairs analyst. He was also a renowned author.
“Jiboner Baluka Belaye; Desh Deshantor: Priyo Farzana; Anabil Mukhochabi” were some of the eleven books that he wrote.
He was awarded the Bangla Academy and The IFIC Bank Literary Award for his significant contribution to literature.
