Elaborated programmes were chalked out marking the death anniversary of Bir Shrestha Noor Mohammad on Saturday.
Border Guard Bangladesh and other organizations held Doa Mahfil and discussion meeting, placed wreath at the grave. Guard of honour was also given by the BGB commemorating the death anniversary of the great freedom fighter.
The programmes were held at Kashipur under Sharsha upazila in Jessore near and around the grave of Noor Mohammad Sheikh who was killed on September 5 during the war of liberation in 1971.
Brigadier General Dewan Mohammad Shahidul Islam, additional director general of the BGB was the chief guest in the programme arranged by the BGB. It was attended among others by Lt Col Jahangir Hossain, Commanding Officer, 26 Border Guard Battalion and Golam Mostafa, son of the freedom fighter.
