The first death anniversary of journalist and writer Baby Moudud will be observed today (July 25). To mark her death anniversary, Milad and Doa Mahfil have been arranged after Asr Prayers.
All the relatives, friends and well-wishers of the deceased are requested to attend the Doa Mahfil and pray for the salvation of the departed soul.Baby Moudud, a former lawmaker and one of the organizers of Women Rights Movement died of cancer at the age of 66.
She was a former Chief News Editor of the state-run news agency-Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS). She started journalism in 1967 while studying at Dhaka University.
She worked in different mainstream newspapers and news agencies like Daily Sangbad, BBC, Daily Ittefaq, Daily Chitrali, Weekly Lalana, Weekly Ranar, Daily Azad, Daily Gano Bangla and Daily Muktokantha.
