Today is the 25th death anniversary of former central leader of Ganotantri Party, organizer of the Liberation War and a noted philanthropist Ashutosh Saha.
He participated in the anti-British Movement.
Ashutosh distributed acres of land among landless people at Haluaghat thana in Mymensingh responding land reform programme of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
He suffered imprisonment for long after change over political situation in 1975 and became blind due to glaucoma disease of the eye.
On the day in 1997 he died.
