The first death anniversary of Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Annisul Huq will be observed today (Friday). Federation of the Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) organised a memorial meeting in its auditorium at 3 pm yesterday (Thursday). Annisul, who had been undergoing treatment at a hospital in London, breathed his last there on November 30 at the age of 65. Later, He was laid to eternal rest at Banani graveyard on December 2 in 2017. Annisul Huq took oath as Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor on May 6, 2015.
He was the former President of several apex bodies including the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Federation of the Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and Independent Power Producers Association.
