The 42nd death anniversary of Aklima Khatun, mother of Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, was observed at the minister’s New Eskaton Road residence here on Monday.
A milad mahfil was also held seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Aklima on the occasion.
Industries Minister, some members of Jatiya Sangsad, representatives of different political and socio-cultural organizations, representatives of professionals and civil society members, leaders of Bangladesh Awami League, Sramik League, Krishak League, Juba League, Swechchasebak League and Bangladesh Chhatra League, among others, also attended the doa mahfil after Asr prayer.
