Today is the 10th death anniversary of educationist Abul Hashem, the founder and Principal of Singhakhali School and College under Bhandaria Upazilla of Pirojpur.
On the occasion discussion, Qurankhwani, feeding of orphans and milad mehfil will be held on the college premises.
He estabished school, college, mosque, madrasha, post office, three storied 10-bed government hospital etc. in his own homestead in Singhakhali village.
He was honoured and considered as a educationist and social reformer in Barisal, Pirojpur, Jhalkhati, Borguna and Bagerhat districts.
He authored two books ‘Bhandaria Darpon’ and ‘English Grammar and Composition for Class VI’.
