The 4th death anniversary of reputed ophthalmologist, language veteran, freedom fighter and social worker Dr. Nani Gopal Saha was observed in Faridpur on Tuesday in a befitting manner.
Marking the day, Dr. Nani Gopal Saha Smirti Sangsad organized a discussion on late Nani Gopal on the local press club premises.
Speakers at the discussion paid rich tributes to late Dr. Saha who played an active role in the language movement of 1952 while he was a student of Dhaka Medical College.
During his professional life he actively participated in all the progressive movements in the sixties against the military rule and suffered imprisonment.
