Deals signed with PMO subordinate bodies for result-oriented works

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) for the second consecutive year signed the Annual Performance Agreement (APA) on Wednesday with its six subordinate bodies for the year 2015-16 aimed at inspiring the organisations to carry out result-oriented activities round the year.
PMO Secretary Suraiya Begum and heads of six subordinate organisations and project of the PMO signed the agreements on behalf of their respective sides at a ceremony at the Prime Minister’s Office in presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The bodies that came under the agreements with the PMO are Board of Investment (BoI), Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (BEPZA), Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA), NGO Affairs Bureau, Public Private Partnership (PPP) Office and Ashrayan-2 Project.
To bring more dynamism into government activities, the Prime Minister’s Office first inked the APA on June 30, 2014 for 2014-15 between the PMO and its five subordinate organisations. Ashrayan-2 project has been included this year.
PM’s Principal Secretary Md Abul Kamal Azad made the introductory remarks while head of the Governance Innovation Unit of the PMO Md Abdul Halim made a Power Point presentation on the progress of the APA for the last fiscal and the target of APA for 2015-16. PM’s Political Affairs Adviser HT Imam, Economic Affairs Adviser Dr Moshiur Rahman, PM’s International Affairs Adviser Dr Gowher Rizvi, BoI Executive Chairman Dr SA Samad and PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim were, among others, present.
