Deal signed to develop housing project for judicial officers

Judicial Officers’ Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited (JOMCSL) has signed a registry agreement with East West Property Development Limited (EWPDL), a concern of business conglomerate Bashundhara Group, to develop a housing project for the judicial officers in the capital.
The agreement was signed on the fifteenth instant to prepare plots for a housing project on around 4,272 kathas of land at Kuril 300ft-Purbachal area, a Judicial Service Association press release said.
In the housing project, plots will be prepared on 3,288 kathas of land and the rest of the lands will be used for other amenities like drainage system, educational institutions, shopping centres, playgrounds, religious establishments and amusement parks, as per the private housing policy.
There will be a total of 874 plots including 333 five-katha plots. The rest of the plots will be three kathas each.
Mohammad Shawkat Ali Chowdhury, Dhaka District and Sessions Judge and president of Bangladesh Judicial Service Association, its secretary general and joint secretary of the Law and Justice Division Bikash Kumar Saha, Law and Justice Division Secretary Md Golam Sarwar and Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan were present on the occasion, among others.
