An agreement was signed between Roads and Highways Department and a construction company on Monday at a city hotel to build a 1,238 meter long flyover at Bhulta on Dhaka-Sylhet highway.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader was present on the occasion as the chief guest while Chief Engineer of Roads and Highways Department M Feroz Iqbal and Wang Wei of the construction company signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Under the project, around one kilometer highways in Bhulta area on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway will be upgraded to eight-lane and around two-kilometer will be upgraded to four-lane.
