Bridges Division of Bangladesh and Spanish consultancy firm TYPSA signed an agreement for conducting a feasibility study for construction of subways in Dhaka city.
Chief Engineer of Bridges Division Kabir Ahmed and TYPSA Managing Director Antonio Rodriguez Castellanos signed the deal on Thursday on behalf of their respective organizations, an official release said.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader and Senior Secretary of Bridge Division Khandakar Anwarul Islam, among others, were present at the signing ceremony held in a city hotel.
Under the agreement, the estimated cost for conducting the feasibility study would stand at Taka 219.44 crore. The feasibility study will be conducted on four routes in the Dhaka city.
