Dead body of Indian labour recovered

A dead body of an Indian labour named Provat Kumar Sing (37) was recovered from the under-construction coal based power plant in Rampal Upazila of Bagerhat district on Monday at noon by the police of Rampal PS. The deceased was the son of one Kumar Singh hails from the village Bahmoni within Grudaspur PS under Panjab province in India.
Md. Manjurul Alam, Officer-in-charge of Rampal PS said we recovered the dead body of Provat Kumar Singh from the power plant area on the day and sent it to Bagerhat hospital for autopsy. He added, after the postmortem examination the dead body would be kept in a cold store of Khulna Medical College Hospital would and be sent to his family members through Indian High Commission Office. In this connection a UD case was lodged with Rampal PS.

Md. Rezaul Karim, Deputy Director of Rampal Coal Based Power Plant said on Sunday night at about 12 pm while deceased Provat Singh was talking with his friends he suddenly received a mobile phone and left the place. But he did not return to that place. Later his friends left the place and fell asleep in their barrack. In the morning his friends and other labours began to search him and at one stage his dead body was found hanging with a bamboo bridge, known as Sanko which was not far from their barrack. He added, Provat joined the power plant as a labour under a contractor ship named Indowyen on August 18. But the reason of death could not be known.
