UNB, Dhaka :
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu on Wednesday said the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) have been asked to reallocate the unused lands of Bangladesh Small & Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) to new entrepreneurs.
“There’re some plots in different BSCIC areas in different districts which had been allotted earlier but still remain unused. The DCs have been asked to cancel the allotments and reallocate the plots to new entrepreneurs,” he said.
Amu was briefing reporters after attending a joint session of Commerce and Industries Ministries with the DCs on the second day of their three-day conference in the city.
The Industries Minister said his ministry will provide all kinds of assistance, including industrial plots and bank loan, if anyone wants to set up new industries in the country.
He also said the DCs have been asked to work sincerely to build planned industrial zones in their respective areas using industrial potentials.
