Dhaka Community Hospital Trust (DCHT) and Community Initiative Society (CIS) have been providing emergency health services, mother and child health care, distribution of nutritional food packs and organizing public health campaigns for the Rohingya people since 12 September 2017 with the permission of the local authority. Up till now, the health service had served over 200,000 Rohingya people.
Dhaka Community Hospital Trust (DCHT) and Community Initiative Society (CIS) joined with MERCY Malaysia (MM) are running a comprenshive primary health care centre in Camp No. 15, Jamtoli, Ukhiya, Cox’s bazar to enhance the local health system of Rohingya people.
Dato’ Saifuddin Abdullah, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia visited the Jamtoli health centre on Sunday.
During his visit Dr. Mohamed Ashraff Mohd Ariff ExCo of MERCY Malaysia along with Md. Golam Mostofa, Executive Director of Community Initiative Society (CIS), Dr. Omar Sharif Ibne Hasan, Co-ordinator of CIS, Ronjit Halder, Program Director of CIS and Hashi Chakma, Coordinator along with other staffs were present in the centre.
During the visit the Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia praised very much the activities running in the camp 15 and also admired this great humanitarian initiation taken by DCHT, CIS & MERCY Malaysia.
