The Dhaka North City Corporation and Dhaka South City Corporation will jointly host a civic reception to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday [October 5] in honour her achievement of the United Nations’ highest award on environmental affairs, “Champions of the Earth” and the “ICT Sustainable Development” award.
A press release issued by Dhaka South City Corportaion on Thursday said, the civic reception will be held at South Plaza of the National Parliament at about 3:30 pm where two mayors of the DCCs and other dignitaries will be present.
Apart from it, the ruling Awami League will accord a mass reception to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on October 3 [Saturday]. Awami League Presidium Member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim disclosed this to the press recently.
On Sunday Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received the United Nations environment award, “Champions of the Earth” and the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) award at the UN headquarters in New York City.
Md Nasim said that PM would be accorded a mass reception on her arrival at the Shahjalal International Airport at 1-30 pm on October 3 [Saturday].
Alongside, he said that the Prime Minister would be given a rousing reception, on behalf of the people of Bangladesh, by standing on both sides of the streets between the airport and Ganobhaban on the day.
