Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) on Wednesday declared today as holiday, paying tribute to former Mayor of undivided Dhaka City Corporation Sadeque Hossain Khoka.
All activities of the City Corporation and its regional offices will remain closed on the day.
Khoka, a former Mayor and BNP Vice-Chairman,

Khoka, a former Mayor and BNP Vice-Chairman,
died at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York on Monday. He was 68.
His namaz-e-janaza will be held at the Dhaka South City Corporation premises around 3pm.
