UNB, Dhaka :
Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) in association with International Finance Corporation (IFC), and Small and Cottage Industry Training Institute (SCITI) has been running training courses for the new entrepreneurs since March 3 with regular interval.
The trainees are registered with the project, titled “DCCI Entrepreneurship & Innovation Expo”.
The training mainly focuses how to develop a proper business plan. The DCCI is implementing the project for grooming 2,000 entrepreneurs in the country jointly with the Bangladesh Bank, said a DCCI press release.
The training started on March 3 and each training course is for two days. About 360 participants have been trained so far and this is an ongoing process.
DCCI Vice President Kh Shahidul Islam was present in the training session held on April 6-7 to share his ideas and views as a businessman.
He advised the would-be entrepreneurs not to hurry in starting a business and to make their business plan in a way so that will satisfy banks in financing their project.
Former Managing Director of Mutual Trust Bank Ltd Kazi Md Shafiqur Rahman; Director (Addl Secretary) of BSCIC M Jahangir Molla; Vice President of Mercantile Bank Ltd Liaquat F Rashid Chandan; and Senior Executive Officer of National Bank Ltd Rezaul Islam were also present during the April 6-7 training session.
