Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI)President Hossain Khaled has invited the Chi nese entrepreneurs to invest in Bangladesh to take the advantage of three million young workers who are coming into job market every year.
“Every year about three million young people of Bangladesh are coming into job market. Chinese entrepreneurs can take this advantage of younger working force and invest in our country,” he said when an 18-member trade delegation from China Council for the Promotion of International Trade of Zhaoqing City met the Board of Directors of DCCI here on Tuesday.
Liu Fang, President of CCOIC Zhaoqing Chamber of Commerce, led the delegation. Liu Fang is also the Vice Director of Bureau of Commerce of Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, China.
Welcoming the Chinese delegation, DCCI President Hossain Khaled said Bangladesh keeps up 6 percent GDP growth for the last 15 years and the economy is much stronger than before. Hossain Khaled informed the delegation that government is going to establish 100 economic zones in the country within a couple of years.
Khaled urged the Chinese investors to invest in infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, ceramics, ICT, leather, ship building sector of Bangladesh.
He said trade between Bangladesh and China is US$100 billion. He requested Chinese entrepreneurs to relocate their industries to Bangladesh to enjoy the competitive advantage here.
Liu Fang said trade between Bangladesh and China is increasing day by day.
