Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has participated in CeBIT fair held in Hannover, Germany.
The CeBIT IT fair, one of the biggest IT fairs in the world, was held from March 14-18 last, said a DCCI media release on Saturday.
On behalf of DCCI, Director Muktar Hossain Chowdhury and Convener of IT standing committee Syed Almas Kabir joined the fair.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Germany Muhammad Ali Sarker was also present during the fair.
Over 3,300 companies from 70 countries took part in the CeBIT 2015 that focused on rapid digitalisation of all segments of the economy and society.
Speakers at several seminars recognised that the SMEs are particularly facing big challenges in the IT sector.
This year’s CeBIT also showed that successful harnessing of the potential of digitisation will require a clearer focus by policymakers to create the ideal conditions for startups in their establishment and growth phases.
