The Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) Foundation on Saturday announced to extend an interim support to the affected families and injured of Chawkbazar (Churihatta) fire incident with an amount of Taka 25 Lakh.
In a press release, DCCI Foundation expressed deep shock and condolence at the unexpected loss of lives of 67 people who were killed in the fire incident on Wednesday night.
DCCI Foundation also urged to come up with a sustainable solution discussing with all concerned stakeholders to avoid more

incidents like Nimtoli tragedy happened back in 2010.
They also urged the government to take necessary measures to prevent such devastating accident in future.
Sixty-seven people were killed and around 41 others injured in a fire that broke out at a chemical warehouse that raged through four other adjacent buildings in Chawkbazar on Wednesday night.
