Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) on Monday strongly condemned the killing of 20 foreign and Bangladeshi nationals by terrorists in a Gulshan café on Friday night.
“We condemn such killings of innocent and unarmed people as a pernicious act against humanity. As a Muslim majority nation, we Bangladeshis find this as a sinister design to malign our culture and image of tolerant and moderate society,” DCCI said in a statement on Monday. The business body assured of its full support to the government measures taken to tackle this unforeseen and tragic event.
It also urged the Prime Minister to mobilise all segments of the country in finding best possible way out to handle the situation with iron fist to unearth the roots of such so-called sub-state actors, and bring to public how they ensnare and brain wash youths for such acts.
