A two-day ‘DCCI Agro Tech- 2018 Expo’ kicks off today at International Convention City Basundhara (ICCB) for the development of the country’s agriculture sector.
Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), supported by USAID’s Agriculture Value Chain (AVC) Project, organized the event for the greater development of Bangladesh’s agriculture sector, said a DCCI media release here Wednesday.
Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury will inaugurate the expo. Secretary of the science and technology ministry Md. Anwar Hossain will be present as special guest.
Different agro entrepreneurs, agro-processors, modern agro machinery importers, exporters, financial institutions, researchers will take part in the expo.
Bangladesh is a small country with huge populations, therefore using modern technology in agriculture will ensure more production in small space.
