Mymensing Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Enamul Haque has distributed relief items to 358 sex workers in Mymensingh who have lost their jobs due to Corona pandemic and lockdown. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s gift items were distributed as relief on Sunday noon among 358 sex workers living in a sex village in Ganginarpar area of Mymensingh city through the Department of Social Services.
DC Mymensing said, “We will distribute the gifts of the Prime Minister among the poor people of the society in phases.”
Among others, District Council Chairman Prof Yusuf Khan Pathan, Metropolitan Awami League President EhteshamulAlam, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jahangir Alam, Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Shahjahan, Deputy Director Social Services and other important personalities were present on the occasion.
Each packet contains 10 kg rice, 1 kg pulses, 1 kg oil, 1 kg potato, 1 kg onion, 1 kg sugar, 1 kg salt and 1 packet semai. Sex workers are happy to get relief from the Prime Minister in difficult times.
