Following the protest of the Divisional Commissioner and the Deputy commissioner of Chittagong , Chittagong Development Authority declared the tender schedule cancelled on Sunday .
Executive Engineer of CDA and Projec t Director Engr. Mahfuzur Rahman told that following the directives of the higher authority centring the protests of the district administration, this tender schedule for modernization of the DC Hill park declared void and after the mutual discussions between the DA and CDA, next steps will be taken , he said. Mentionable that Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Md. Mesbahuddin issued a legal notice to CDA chairman to stop the tender process for development of the DC Hill on Thursday last. Following the instructions of the Housing and Public works minister Engr. Mosharaf Hossain on March 5 last, CDA has taken steps of modernization of the DC Hill .Accordingly CDA sent a proposal for development of the park amounting to Tk.6.65 cr. to the concerned ministry on April 28 last.
Meanwhile Minister Engr. Mosharaf Hossain told the journalists while asked about the fate of DC Hill development at a function in Press club on Saturday last told that no legal feud is good and the matter will be resolved through tripartite discussions between DA, CDA and the govt very shortly.
